VASER HD

La Belle Vie Plastic Surgery now offers Vaser HD Liposuction! Vaser HD Liposuction is a type of liposuction that uses ultrasound technology to better remove excess fat and contour the body. It is more efficient and less invasive than traditional liposuction. It can also be used to treat the more superficial layers of the skin to get “High Definition” (HD) in the treated areas by enhancing the appearance of muscle groups. HD is commonly performed on the abdomen to enhance the appearance of the abdominal muscles, also known as “Ab Sculpting or Ab Etching”. This results in a more toned, chiseled and athletic appearance.

Areas that can be treated with Vaser HD Liposuction include:

  • Neck, chin and jowls
  • Bra fat
  • Chest
  • Back fat
  • Upper arms
  • Love handles/flanks
  • Abdomen
  • Waist
  • Hips
  • Thighs
  • Buttocks
  • Knees

Vaser HD Liposuction is usually done in our fully accredited, in-office Operating Room. It can be performed under general or local anesthesia depending on the area(s) to be treated and patient preference. The procedure usually takes 1-3 hours based on how many areas are being treated, and most patients go home 1-2 hours after surgery.

Afterwards, most patients experience mild to moderate discomfort which is managed with prescription medication and can return to work in 3-7 days.  Exercise and more strenuous activities can be resumed after 2 weeks. Compression garments are usually worn for 4-6 weeks. Most patients will see immediate results, with the final results occurring about 4 months after the procedure.

Vaser HD Liposuction has an excellent safety record. Side effects can include bruising and swelling, pain, asymmetry, scarring and loose or lumpy skin. Results can be permanent if patients maintain a healthy lifestyle and do not gain significant weight.

FACE

Blepharoplasty

Excess eyelid skin can often impair vision, cause an unrested appearance, and add age.  An upper eyelid lift, or blepharoplasty, removes this excess skin to improve these unwanted symptoms.  At times, fat removal from around the upper and inner eye assists in achieving a younger, more juvenile appearance.  Referred to as a “functional upper blepharoplasty”, this procedure is covered by some insurances with additional documentation needed.  This can be further evaluated at a face to face consultation with the surgeon.

Rhinoplasty

A “nose job” can be one of the more refined yet defining procedures of the face.  Dorsal “humps” and a “bulbous” tip can create a disproportion to the face and as a result, self esteem concerns.  Using a closed approach for this procedure (from inside the nostril), the surgeon can rasp, or shave down the hump and remove cartilage from the bulbous tip, creating a more refined, proportionate nose.  Not everyone is a candidate for this procedure, due to septal concerns or multiple traumas, making it a more difficult and involved rejuvenation.

Otoplasty

Ears are not often observed unless prominent or misshaped.  This can occur as a result of genetics or injury and can result in a negative self-esteem.  An Otoplasty addresses multiple malformations of the ear, including the upper and mid cartilage or lobe.  The 1 ½ hour procedure is detail oriented and the results are immediately visible.

Injectables

Surgical procedures are not always required or desired when it involves the face.  Sometimes the little things get in the way of self-confidence like smile lines, crow’s feet or just a few too many wrinkles. But injectables like Botox® and Juvéderm®, can help reduce lines, wrinkles and creases.

Botox®: Smooth out stubborn frown and forehead creases and crow’s feet by relaxing muscles that cause wrinkles. This natural, purified protein can replenish your appearance while being proven ultra-s

The Juvéderm™ Family (Juvederm Ultra XC, Juvederm Ultra Plus XC and Juvederm Voluma XC): Designed to reduce the wrinkles along the side of your nose and mouth and sculpt the cheeks, Juvéderm fillers contain a natural complex sugar – hyaluronic acid – which is one of the major components of the dermal connective tissue matrix. Voluma XC provides the ideal solution for elevating the cheeks.

Kybella™: Kybella is the first and only FDA-approved injectable drug that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness, commonly known as “double chin”. Many patients experience an improved chin profile in two to four treatment sessions spaced at least one month apart.

AESTHETIC SERVICES FOR MEN

Today, men strive to remain in shape, be social, and are competitive in their work environment.  This can include not only diet and exercise but Botox, fillers, and even plastic surgery. Blepharoplasty for aging, tired looking eyes, liposuction of the submental (chin/neck) or arms, flanks, and abdomen, tummy tuck, body lift after massive weight loss, and occasionally, a breast reduction for gynecomastia.

Gynecomastia

Sometimes it’s just the way you are born, and sometimes it comes with weight gain, weight loss, and age, but the outcome can be the same: too much soft, loose tissue on your upper chest. This is referred to as gynecomastia or nicknamed “man boobs.” It is caused by the development of excess fat and tissue in the chest (breast area) in men. In moderate to severe cases, gynecomastia resembles the breast tissue in women. The disorder’s prevalence is reflected by the fact that male breast reduction is one of the most common cosmetic surgery procedures performed on men. Surgery for gynecomastia may involve liposuction alone or be combined with a surgical excision of excess tissue. Because gynecomastia may occasionally have medical implications, patients considering plastic surgery for their concerns should first see their primary physician for a complete health evaluation.
