What Is Morpheus8®?
Morpheus8 tightens and smooths skin. It is a next-generation micro-needling device that adds therapeutic levels of fractional radiofrequency (RF) energy to increase collagen growth and stimulate elastin formation in the deeper layers of your skin. The device can improve the appearance of:
- Loose and wrinkled skin, including the face, neck, abdomen, back, and arms

What to Expect During Treatment
Morpheus8 treatments usually involve placing a numbing cream on the area(s) to be treated for about 60 minutes prior to the therapy. Treatment times vary depending on the size and location of the area to be treated, but are often about 45-60 minutes long. Afterward, the treated area may be slightly red, swollen or bruised for a few days. There may also be some mild soreness in the area for a short period. Bathtubs, hot tubs and swimming should be avoided for 3 days after treatment.
Optimal results can be achieved with a series of 3-6 treatment sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Treatment outcomes can vary depending on your skin’s texture, tone and laxity.

Increased collagen improves skin strength and tone, while elastin gives the skin the ability to “spring” back into place after being stretched. The result is improved skin tone, texture and overall appearance.

The most commonly treated areas are the lower face, jowls and neck. However, ANY part of the body that exhibits wrinkles, loose skin, stretch marks or acne scarring can be treated.
At La Belle Vie Plastic Surgery, we do everything possible to ensure that your experience and treatments are as comfortable and as painless as possible. We apply a topical numbing cream to the area(s) to be treated with Morpheus8 about 60 minutes prior to being treated. Most patients only feel mild discomfort and a sensation of warmth during treatment, and a mild to moderate sunburn sensation for 1-3 days following treatment.
Following about 60 minutes of allowing the topical numbing cream to take effect, Morpheus8 treatment sessions usually last 45-60 minutes depending on the size of the area(s) to be treated.
Noticeable improvements can be seen about 3 months after completion of 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
There is usually some redness, swelling and mild discomfort in the treated areas for 1-3 days. Minor bruising can also occur. Typically the redness can be covered easily with makeup. More aggressive treatments may result in more prolonged swelling and redness.
Morpheus8 results are generally long lasting, but a single maintenance treatment once every 1-2 years is recommended.
