La Belle Vie now offers a state-of-the-art device called VOTIVA. VOTIVA is an FDA approved platform that employs radio frequency (RF) technologies for certain aesthetic applications. Radiofrequency energy is commonly used in cell phones, as well as radio and TV broadcasting. The platform has two systems, FormaV and MORPHEUS 8. FormaV is designed to provide nonsurgical internal vaginal rejuvenation.

How the Procedure Works
During your initial consultation, our female specialists will discuss your concerns, perform an examination and create a personalized treatment plan. FormaV treatment is a relatively comfortable procedure that is performed in the office setting by our trained medical professionals. The procedure takes thirty to forty-five minutes and is similar to a visit to your gynecologist. FormaV treatments are performed in a private and relaxing atmosphere. Numbing cream is usually not needed for the FormaV (internal) treatment. Numbing cream is usually used with the MORPHEUS 8 (external) treatment.
FormaV (internal) therapy causes a warm sensation with little or no discomfort during or after the treatment. External treatment with MORPHEUS 8 can cause some discomfort during the treatment and the areas that are treated will be somewhat tender and swollen for several days. Patients can resume regular activities immediately following treatment but may be advised to avoid intercourse, swimming, hot tubs, and baths for a few days.
Some women notice improvements immediately following the first treatment, but results usually occur over several weeks as tissue contracts and collagen and elastin levels increase. A series of three treatments spaced about four to six weeks apart usually results in the most improvement, but the number of treatments will depend on your specific goals. Results are long-lasting, but a single maintenance treatment once every year or two may be recommended.

The actual treatment time for FormaV is 30-45 minutes, depending on the amount and type of treatment(s) required. Some patients may require a topical numbing cream 60 minutes prior to external Morpheus8 treatment.
VOTIVA has two different treatment types. The FormaV treatment involves a sterile, disposable and comfortable wand that treats the internal vagina. The Morpheus8 attachment is used to treat the external vulvovaginal area. FormaV (internal) treatment requires no medications or numbing cream and is essentially painless, with no recovery time. Morpheus8 (external) treatment may require a numbing cream prior to the procedure and there may be some minimal discomfort during treatment. There also may be some redness, swelling and mild tenderness of the treated area for 1-3 days following Morpheus8 treatment.
Many patients report immediate improvements after one 30-45 minute treatment session. Your FormaV treatment plan will be personalized to your specific goals and concerns, but most women get optimal results with three treatment sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Your results can be maintained with a single maintenance treatment every 1-2 years.
Our FormaV treatment specialists will discuss all pretreatment preparations that may be required based on your personalized treatment plan, but preparation generally involves stopping any medications that could cause bleeding or bruising like blood thinners or NSAIDs (ibuprofen or Advil) and removing all hair from the areas to be treated.
Downtime or recovery time with FormaV (internal) treatment is essentially zero. With Morpheus8 treatment, there may be some redness, swelling, tenderness and spotting in the treated areas for 1-3 days. With either treatment, avoid intercourse, bathtubs, hot tubs, pools and swimming for 3 days following the treatment.
